“Less Is More” is the latest song from Gary Schwartz, former drummer of The United States of Existence andThe Jigsaw Seen. This latest song features all of the original members of The United States of Existence,including Dennis Davison courtesy of The Jigsaw Seen as well as Gary’s long-time musical collaborator and friend, Mark O’Keefe.

Gary sought to revive a song of his that originated in the 1980s. Basic tracks were recorded back then. Those tracks were restored and embellished with new tracks recorded in 2018 and 2019. The result is a melding of then and now, with a prominent nod to harmony legends The Association.Their inclusion on the 1986 USE track “Anything Goes”provided the vocal influence and impetus on this new tune.

Hello All,
It's been quite some time...Gary Schwartz – former drummer of the United States of Existence and The Jigsaw Seen is getting ready to release his new single "It Just Is".

A reflection of a stroke that happened in 2014. "It Just Is", originally conceived in "ICU" back in October 24, 2014 will be available September 2017. 

"It Just Is" follows in the Gary Schwartz tradition.  Some have called it true life – pop rock.  Perhaps that could be a new category #truelifepoprock.  

I will keep you posted as to the exact release date but in the meantime enjoy this little YouTube clip.

Just wanted to let you know that my new single "It Just Is " is being recorded. Mark O'Keefe and I have completed the basic tracks. I am happy to announce that keyboardist Bob Tiefenwerth ( United States of Existence, BLAMMO and Trio Nova) is on board to provide keys. 

"It Just Is" A happy pop song? Then you listen further and realize it's pretty dark." It Just Is" is about my  subarachnoid hemorrhagic stroke which I experienced in 2014. 

Look for it this summer.

Speaking of projects, I am working on my new tune "It Just Is". For real- It's only taken a few years to start the tune. "It Just Is" reflects my experience of having a Subarachnoid Hemorrhagic stroke...whoa!

Many have asked if I am ever going to play live... Probably NOT. If I can sound like my recordings ,I would do it in a heart beat- unfortunately, I am not in a position to hire a band that can dedicate the time I need to capture the sound I want live. So for now, studio magic only.
